To create a well-designed website, I always aim to:

  • Create an engaging, but consistent, user experience (UX).
  • Communicate the brand's message, with an emphasis on the unique values propositions that set the business apart from others.
  • Easy to navigate with access to all information directly from the primary and secondary menus... nobody likes digging through a site to find a page.
  • Optimization for both search engines (SEO) and responsive mobile devices.
  • Drive conversion based on the desired actions of visitors.

I welcome:

  • All races & ethnicities
  • All countries of origin
  • All spoken languages
  • All gender identities
  • All sexual orientations
  • All abilities & disabilities
  • All ages & sizes
  • All people.

I believe:

  • Black lives matter
  • Trans lives matter
  • No person is illegal
  • Families belong together
  • Protecting our environment is our future
  • In dignity and human rights.

I will not tolerate:

  • I will not tolerate or condone sectarianism, bigotry, misogyny, or intimidation in any form from anyone I work with.
  • I will not tolerate attempts to be rude, ignorant, or argumentative.

In the spirit of respect, reciprocity and truth, we honour and acknowledge Moh’kinsstis, and the traditional Treaty 7 territory and oral practices of the Blackfoot confederacy: Siksika, Kainai, Piikani, as well as the Îyâxe Nakoda and Tsuut’ina nations. We acknowledge that this territory is home to the Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 3 within the historical Northwest Métis homeland. Finally, we acknowledge all Nations – Indigenous and non – who live, work and play on this land, and who honour and celebrate this territory.

I went through a couple of different ‘brand names’ before I landed — it seemed like each new life change brought on a new idea.

But what I realized was… all the ideas I was coming up with were really just another mask to hide behind. I’m not a company, but a person. An individual.

It was actually in building a friend’s website, when I had to put a copyright in place, that the thought came to me; if I’m going to put ‘Built by _____ (Company)’ at the bottom of a project, why not the branding just become that?

Maybe not the most original of ideas. But at the end of the day, what you see (me) is what you get. So here we are!

Cursive fonts are used in the logo to say ‘Built by Trent’. There is a subtle rainbow effect used as a shadow behind my name; it’s actually the surface of a bubble, makes me happy!
